VT (Visual Teach) is a groundbreaking software that allows teaching using actual point cloud data as a master. By teaching the arm movements for a workpiece that has visual information registered as a master, it enables the robot to follow movements even if the position or posture of the workpiece changes, by correcting the robot's reference posture (coordinates). Traditional robot teaching involved setting up some form of positioning equipment to prevent the workpiece from shifting, while teaching path instructions through jog movements using a teaching pendant. VT was developed with the aim of providing a vision system that allows the robot to be driven primarily by the robot side. This enables robot system integrators to continue integrating systems using teaching pendants as before.
